The success rate for these challenges has remained consistent, hovering near 50% throughout the minor leagues. Last season, the success rate at Triple-A was 49.5%, slightly down from the previous year. Defensive players, particularly catchers, have demonstrated a sharper eye, winning 53.7% of their challenges compared to 45% for batters. Players are becoming increasingly tactical, with the average number of challenges per game climbing to 4.2. This suggests that as players get comfortable with the technology, they are becoming more surgical in identifying which specific pitches are worth contesting during the flow of a game.
